At any time of the year in the Cedar City area you will find some of the world's most spectacular scenery, a variety of cultural events and a full array of festivals. Not only is Cedar City home of the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival but it is also host to the American Children's Christmas Festival, the Cedar City Cowboy gathering, the Utah Neil Simon Festival, the Utah Summer Games and the July Jamboree classic car show to name a few.
You can visit some of the 150,000 acres of Zion National Park which includes the wild and multicolored Kolob Canyons and the grand viewpoints of Zion Canyon with its sheer red and white sandstone cliffs towering 2,500 feet above the Virgin River. Visit the limestone spires of Bryce Canyon's or the wildflower meadows and fabulous fall colors at Cedar Breaks.
In the summer and fall, Brian Head offers chairlift and shuttle service that whisks you to the top of Brian Head Peak. Take advantage of more than 200 miles of downhill mountain bike trails or try the ATV tours, horseback rides and free summer concerts. During winter months Brian Head will acquaint you with some of Utah's greatest snow on earth.
